Hungry Kya? …… There is some food for your thought
When some one says Market – I can imagine SENSEX or NIFTY as I seldom go to Subji Mandi to see what’s going on there? But unlike our SENSEX, this market has sky rocketed, making people wet with sweat, when they hear vegetables prices.
Moong Dal – 70 Rupees a kilo, Tomatoes – 40 Rupees a Kilo, Green Peas – 60 Rupees and Capsicum – 40 Rupees, Milk is set to touch 25 Rupees a litre and seems there is a no end.
Aam Aadmi is really frustrated, when it comes to purchase vegetables. Blessed by superficial performance of Central Government, like Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Privatisation of Air Ports, Mumbai Metro Railway and Yes, quotas in every possible institution, common person has very less options about – What to eat in the evening meals.
The flavour of the month is football and if you take the issue to the Government or Political parties you will find many Beckhams and Ronaldos shooting at each others goal posts.
You will get 100 reasons like – Poor Monsoon, Global Warming, Policies of previous government, Black marketing and so on but there is no answer to a simple question i.e. when the prices will come down and affordable to common person.
In a country, which produces largest number of geeks, can’t we develop an information and communication system for farmers, which will enable them to take better decisions about what to grow, when to sow or where to sell?
If this price rise is attributed to black marketers and stockists, why there is no single raid on such shops or PDS stores?
Anyway, this is a food for thought for empty bellies and its absolutely free………
Phir Bhi, Hungry Kya?
